Conflict, while inevitable, is a complex phenomenon. Its study requires a systematic analysis of conflict in a variety of contexts and levels, which includes understanding the root causes of conflicts, their attributes, and dynamics, including their impact or effects on people and society. This lays the ground for its resolution and transformation and for the development and choice of intervention processes and tools. 𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝? At the end of the lecture, participants should be able to:
1. Familiarize the nature and dynamics of conflict, conflict resolution, and conflict transformation;
2. Share and discuss conflict situations and how they’re addressed on the personal/interpersonal, communal, national, and international levels;
3. Come up with re-entry statements/commitments after each session as part of course application and toward the enrichment of their respective professions and undertakings.
