Social Issues and Professional Practices
Description
The course introduces important considerations relating to ethical and professional issues. It introduces students to ethical issues such as property rights, freedom of expression and privacy, and concepts such as free and open-source software, rules of netiquette, and Professional Codes of Conduct. It also equips students with tools for critical reasoning in order to construct and analyze ICT policy arguments and evaluate the ethical components in ICT case studies, as a socially accountable person in the context of your organization, community and country.
