Dear Sir/Madam:

Greetings of peace, joy, and good health!

We are excited to announce that Silliman University is developing a comprehensive courseware to
combat information disorder on social media. This initiative is made possible through the generous
funding from the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia. Our project aims to empower
students in higher education institutions across the Philippines by promoting knowledge and skills in
fighting information disorder, both inside and outside the classroom. To learn more about this innovative
project, please visit our website at https://www.davemarcial.net/info-disorder.html.

As part of our efforts, in collaboration with some partner schools and Philippine eLearning Society, we
are organizing an engaging seminar and hands-on workshop on the following dates and in different
venues:

• June 30, 2023 | Central Philippine University, Iloilo City
• July 7, 2023 | Davao Central College, Davao City
• July 21, 2023 | University of the Cordilleras, Baguio City

During this workshop, participants will gain valuable insights into the effective utilization of the
courseware and will learn the fundamental principles of combating information disorder on social
media.

We cordially invite your esteemed institution to send up to three participants to any of the scheduled
training session. We recommend one faculty/librarian and a maximum of two student leaders to
represent your school. Participants should be enthusiastic about sharing their experiences and
knowledge with their colleagues and peers.

Registration for the seminar is free of charge. Additionally, we will provide a complimentary lunch and
issue certificates of participation to all attendees. To confirm your institution's attendance, please
register online at https://www.davemarcial.net/info-disorder-workshop.html. Should you have any
inquiries or require further information, kindly reach me at 09228218854 or email me at
demarcial@su.edu.ph.

We look forward to your institution's active participation in this essential initiative to combat
information disorder on social media. Together, let us equip our students with the necessary skills and
knowledge to navigate the digital landscape responsibly.
