FIGHT1: Misinformation, Disinformation, Mal-information and Social Media

This 9-hour micro-course explores the issue of information disorder on social media, focusing on misinformation, disinformation, and mal-information. Learners will examine the meaning, history, types, benefits, and risks of social media, as well as the seven major types of information disorders. The course also highlights the causes, trends, and strategies for prevention. By the end of this course, participants will gain practical skills to critically assess online content and combat misinformation in the digital age.
