Non-Degree Programs Unit

The NDP Unit, as the core of enterprise, provides a diverse range of courses encompassing various topics, durations, modalities, and approaches, featuring on-demand streaming for flexible accessibility. Among its primary products include:

  1. Stackable online non-degree offerings (short and crash courses, lectures, seminars, master classes for continuing education or recreational learnings)
  2. On-demand/Streaming Video Topical Contents (video recordings of past GSC offerings, including pre-recorded materials that can be accessed upon request.
  3. Tutorial & Assistance Services. Tutorial services are available as part of the NDP programs, offering one-to-one guidance and support specifically tailored to technology-related topics and assistance.


Silliman Online University Learning Unit

The SOUL Unit maintains its role in supporting technology-driven information quality assurance, including responsibilities like overseeing the administration of learning management systems, enhancing user skills and engagement through upskilling, reskilling, and retooling initiatives, managing network and hardware resources for teaching and learning, facilitating instructional systems development, curating open educational resources (OER), and handling other aspects of knowledge management systems. Additionally, SOUL will provide support for the implementation of online academic programs as needed.   Existing operational procedures are in-placed with additions of the educational services needed for course offerors and learners of the Non-Degree Programs unit as well as the services to be offered by ISA Unit.

 SOUL Unit services includes:

  1. Learning Management System Administration: Proficiently managing and overseeing the mySOUL and  ourSOUL Learning Management Systems.
  2. Upskilling, Retooling, and Reskilling: Offering opportunities for individuals to enhance their technology-oriented skills and competencies.
  3. Instructional Design and Development: Creating effective and engaging learning materials and curricula.
  4. e-Learning Quality Assurance: A responsive approach to ensuring the quality and effectiveness of e-learning that meets the current teaching and learning requirements.
  5. Online Degree Programs Processing: Assisting in the development and management of online degree programs.
  6. Hy-Flex, Zoom, & Synchronous Meeting Facilitation: Ensuring seamless and productive virtual meetings, including the utilization of the Computer Laboratory for faith formation, instruction, research, and community engagement.
  7. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs): Developing and managing MOOCs to facilitate widespread online learning.
  8. Journal Management: Providing support for the management and publication of academic journals.
  9. Open Educational Resources (OER): Facilitating access, archival and utilization of online and open educational materials.


Innovation, Creation, Invention, and Outreach Unit

ICIO Unit will continue in providing free computer education for diverse lifelong learners and the community, overseeing the coordination of the SU Alumni Professional Engagement Program, and serving as the dedicated research facility for technology-focused research and development programs. It will maintain its role as a technology-oriented training facility.

  4. Free Rice Assistance Program
  5. SU Alumni Professional Engagement Program
